The Duncan Enviro ATD is the ideal triple disc seed drill for contractors and large scale farmers working in tough and contoured ground.
Featuring narrow 125mm row spacings for excellent germination results, hydraulic depth controlled opening turbo tilth discs cut through heavy trash and hard ground. Followed by large diameter, narrow “V” spaced double disc sets for perfect seed placement. The planting disc assemblies are mounted on independent parallelogram linkages with massive vertical travel for excellent contouring, and depth is set on each run with a following press wheel.
Choose a rigid frame drill from 3.0m to 4.0m wide, or go large with a 4.5m or 6.0m folding drill.

The heavy duty 2 point hitch gives a compact overall length with great manoeuvrability and fine depth control using the tractor linkage arms
Large diameter 'Turbo Tilth' disc openers cut through trash and hard ground, preparing a seed bed for excellent germination results. Depth is controlled hydraulically from the tractor seat, allowing the discs to be lifted clear of the ground if needed. Constant downforce pressure comes from rubber torsion mounts.
Large 400mm plain discs mounted in ‘V’ sets penetrate and widen the slots created by the turbo tilth discs for accurate seed and fertiliser placement. Sowing depth is controlled by the following press wheels.
Triple sealed disc bearings and wide ACM TRIBOTEX™ L7G 'Tube Graphite Filled' pivot bushes on the linkage arms will last for thousands of hectares, reducing operating costs
Press wheels are solid reinforced rubber tyres on aluminium hubs. They are controlled hydraulically from the tractor seat to set the drilling depth and close the slot, creating a humid seed environment for excellent germination results
The twin hoppers carry up to 2700 litres combined for large jobs. 1200 litres in the front hopper and 1500 litres in the rear hopper. Each hopper has a dual lid for filling from large and small bags or augers. Bin level sensors are standard on each hopper.
Access platforms and ladder make it easy to reach and calibrate the metering systems, or climb up to fill the hoppers.
Stainless steel metering units have large diameter interchangeable seed and fertiliser metering wheel cartridges, to control sowing rates of high volumes of fertiliser through to very low rates of small seeds, and can handle all seeds types. The high torque DC electric motor and gearbox drives provide accurate and variable rate control.
Large 620/50R22.5 flotation tyres carry the drill in transport, and can partially support the drill in loose arable ground with minimal soil disturbance and compaction. Mudguards, tail lights and visibility panels are standard for road transport.
Technology
Air seed distribution
Our air distribution system has a high-speed hydraulically powered fan, blowing air through a venturi system and distributor heads out to the planting double disc set at each run.
Seed and fertiliser is metered out of the storage hoppers and drops into the passing airstream.
The high speed fan has an oil cooling radiator mounted to the suction inlet to warm and dry the air, minimising blockages in humid conditions.
The metering heads distribute the seed and fertiliser evenly to each run, and can be fitted with optional blockage monitoring kits, either on each run or each distribution head.
Triple disc technology
The power and planting precision of the ATD drill is achieved with our smart design of a leading turbo tilth disc to cut through trash and hard ground, followed by a 'V' shaped double disc set for precise placement of seed and fertiliser.
Key features include our revolutionary new contour following design with 400mm of vertical travel, and simple accurate depth control of the opening discs and planting double discs all made hydraulically from the tractor cab.
The front disc openers can be raised and not used if the conditions don't require them, or forced down more in hard ground or heavy trash to provide a worked seed bed for planting.
Our 'V' double disc planting coulters have triple sealed bearings which will provide maintenance free drilling for thousands of hectares.
Press wheels control the sowing depth, and they are all mounted on common gang sets, so there's no need to adjust every press wheel individually.
Rubber torsion mounts provide the downforce on each opening disc and double disc planting set. They have a low wear rate and give a continuous downforce pressure. They are simple and cost effective to maintain.
Wide ACM TRIBOTEX™ L7G 'Tube Graphite Filled' pivot bushes on the contour following linkages provide an extra-long life for reduced operating costs.

Our ATD drills have high torque electric drives and a touchscreen electronic rate control. This advanced system is simple to use and gives the user instant feedback about the operating state of the drill.
